Plan A Visit

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and
going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to
help make your first experience at church@paravista a great one.

Here are some details about what you can expect when you visit us.

Where and when?

We meet every weekend on Sundays at 10:00am at 308 Nelson Road, Para Vista in Adelaide, South Australia.

If you can't make it in person, the service is livestreamed on YouTube. You can watch the service here.

How long is a service at Church@paravista?

In total, a Church@paravista service is about 90 minutes in length with a time of fellowship after the service.

Services begin with our worship team leading us in congregational singing - lyrics are projected onto screens to sing along, engaging in worship however you feel led to. Other components of our service include Church announcements, a time of Communion, Offering, Prayer, and on occasions hearing testimonies, updates from ministries or missionaries, and even Baptisms. Towards the end of our service we will hear a sermon from God's Word; the Bible.

Congregational singing: whole church singing along to music and words led by a team of musicians.

Communion: A time for Christians to reflect and thank Jesus for His coming to earth, dying on the cross, and raising to life again. This is where those who believe take a piece of bread and drink a small cup of grape juice representing what Jesus did on the cross.

Offering: The giving of money which is collected for Church use. This is a personal response to God's instruction to give thanks to Him for everything He has given each of us.

Prayer: Talking to God, usually led by one person, but joined by everyone else by closing eyes, and bowing heads.

Testimonies: The sharing of a personal experience or life lesson with the particular focus on God's work in the life of the individual.

Baptism: Being physically immersed in water in a public display and declaration of your belief and faith in Jesus Christ.

Café: Every fortnight our church café operates after the morning service, serving up a range of hot food and barista style hot or cold beverages. Many people stay back to enjoy each others company over a hot meal. Free tea and instant coffee is available every week.

What about my children?

Our children’s ministry operates each Sunday morning during the school term, and is available to children from birth to Year 6.
