Ministries

Everyone’s welcome at Church@paravista. Here are
a number of ministries you can get involved with.

Life Groups

An integral aspect to the life of Church@paravista are the numerous Life Groups that meet during the week in various homes all over our communities. We want to encourage you to pursue a life lived in the context of the local Church by gathering together as believers in each other's homes.

Children

Church@paravista children’s ministry exists to grow in children a love for Jesus, a deep reliance on the gospel, and a life of joyful worship and witness. We seek to provide pre-school to primary aged children an opportunity to learn about the character of God in a fun and child friendly environment through Bible teaching, games, singing, craft, and other activities.

Youth

Para Vista Youth is a youth ministry of Church@paravista for young people in grades 7-12.
We aim to provide a safe and fun environment to meet new friends, do fun activities, and hear from the Bible.
We meet together every Friday night of the school term for our main program which runs from 7:00PM-9:30PM.
The cost of the night is $3 unless otherwise indicated.

Dig In
Let's dig into food and the Bible together!
Dig In is a dinner and Bible study run on a Friday night before youth group from 5:30PM-7:00PM.Dinner is provided, however we do ask for a gold coin donation.

Contact Ryan Windle for more information.

Young Adults

We are a community of young people, around 18-24. We exist to help young adults become active, committed followers of Jesus Christ while being equipped and directed by God.

We meet together on Sunday afternoons to spend time with one another through different events and discussion about life and the Bible.

Adults

At Church@paravista, we have a number of ministries and activities for adults.

Prayer

Prayer is a vital part of who we are and what we do as a church. We seek to have prayer as a regular part of all of our ministries and Sunday morning service.

One Sunday a quarter we have a prayer focus in our morning service. This is an opportunity for everyone in the church to come together and spend time praying for various things happening within and outside of the church.
On another Sunday in the quarter we have an evening of prayer and praise followed by dinner.

After each church service we also have someone available to pray with people if this is something they would like to do.

Worship

Every Christian is commanded to worship God with their whole life. This isn't just something that happens on a Sunday morning as we sing, participate in communion and read from the Bible.

Our aim is to see every member of our church living as active, committed followers of Jesus Christ in their schools, universities, workplaces, and amongst their families.

Support

Church@paravista seeks to connect people in need with support, individual and relationship guidance, and prayer. Our pastoral care team is made up of people from different stages in life with varying experience and expertise.

The Marriage Course, Hands & Feet food ministry, the Opshop, meals ministry, and our Pastoral Care team are some of the ways we can support you.

Please contact the church office if there's anything we can assist with.

Missions

Church@paravista is committed to fulfil, in our day, the Great Commission given by Jesus to his first disciples, “to make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20). It is our desire to share with others the love and grace of God that we rejoice in and have received ourselves. To this end, Church@paravista seeks to equip its members with an understanding of the gospel that can be shared with others and the skill and willingness to do so. Church@paravista directly supports families from within our congregation and from other local churches as they follow God’s leading to reach those in need.

Church@paravista is associated with Australian Missionary Tidings (AMT), which is the service arm for Christian Community Churches of Australia (CCCAust) for sending, supporting and caring for full time Christian workers, missionaries, and cross-cultural workers.
